ATP talk to Dallas Green about how he got into music, future shows, City and Colour, and more.

Dallas lets us know a bit about what Alexisonfire are doing over the coming year; releasing their EP containing songs which didn't make it onto the new album along with brand new material. They're hoping to play the UK Download Festival in 2010. Shows in South Africa and South America too - countries never played by the band before.

We'll probably come back to the UK for Download Festival as we played Reading/Leeds Festival last time.We want to try and go to a bunch of places we've never played before like South Africa and South America hopefully.

The guys down at Metal Hammer are lucky enough to be in possession of an advance copy of Old Crows/Young Cardinals, and have posted a track-by-track analysis of the forthcoming album on their blog.

Alexisonfire have clearly finally reached the place they have been driving to for so long: the perfect blending of hardcore, hard rock and the myriad influences that the quintet draw on...

Certainly worth a read, it will leave you more eager than ever to get hold of the new album.

In an interview with View Magazine, Alexisonfire talk about their upcoming album 'Young Cardinals'; where they got the idea from, what its going to sound like, and loads more.

"It just kind of summed up a day that was filled with turmoil because nature is still completely oblivious to all of our hardships. The sentiment of it was that life is as equally terrifying and horrible as it is its beautiful and wondrous."

"The bottom line of it is that it's still Alexisonfire, it's not going to be German synth pop," he laughs. "It sounds like us but its a lot more guitar driven. Vocally I'm doing some new stuff but I think that if you like Alexisonfire that you will like this album. I don’t think we are throwing people any curve balls."
